Obock 
Kaśka GlancA town close to the capital city. There is a ferry between the two cities. Obock is small port town, located on the shore of the Gulf of Tadjoura. It has a population of about 9 000.
Obock was at first important as the site of the first French colony in the area. The French wanted to have a coaling station for steamships. By 1885 Obock had 800 residents and a school. When Djibouti became an administrative centre, the population declined.
