Kaśka Glanc

A town in western part of the country. It used to have economic, administrative, military, and social functions. But it was badly damaged by the civil war within Congo and by the war in Rwanda. Another problem is the Nyiragongo volcano which erupts every few years causing thousands of deaths. It killed 200 people in 1977 and has been constantly active since 1994
