Bunia is the chief city in the Ituri province, which is resource-rich. It is located in the north-eastern part of Congo, next to the wonderful Lake Albert. The riches of the region are: diamonds, gold and colton. They have caused a lot of trouble to the city. The history started in the 19th century, when king Leopold II of Belgium ordered to exploit the resources. Nowadays two hostile tribes the Hema and the Lendu are still fighting about them. Hundreds of people are massacred every day. This is not a place that could recommended for tourist.
