A town in west central part of the country. It is located at the intersection of the Man?Bouaké and Boundiali?Daloa roads. It is the main trade centre of a savannah region, which is inhabited mostly by the Malinké people. There are some diamond mines, which have made the town more significant. It has a population of about 13 000.
