Selebi-Phikwe

The mining town of Selebi-Phikwe is located 88km southwest of Francistown. It is the third-largest urban centre in Botswana. It has a population of about 70 000 people.
History
Originally there were two small places called Selebi and Phikwe, which were famous for copper and nickel. In the 1960s in turned into a town called Selebi-Phikwe. Selebi-Phikwe is one of Botswana's four mining towns .
What to see and visit
Phikwe is helpful if you are travelling to or from eastern Botswana, but is not a tourist target.
