Maun is the third town largest in Botswana. It is a mix of modern buildings and local huts. Maun is the tourism centre of Botswana and the capital of Ngamiland. It is also the HQ of frequent safari and air-charter trips. Maun has developed quickly from a country town and has flourished along the Thamalakane River. It has a lot of good shopping centres, hotels and lodges. The rural atmosphere hasn?t disappeared yet and local tribes still live in the neighbourhood.
The best time to visit is from May to October when there is no rain season. But remember that nights can be cold so you should take a jacket.

Maun is the entry to the Okavango Delta and one of the most excellent safari opportunities.br />
