Kaśka GlancKasane, Botswana
Kasane is located in northern part of the country, very close to borders to Zimbabwe, Namibia and Zambia. This small town is very popular among tourist. For years it has been used as an entry to the Chobe National Park. And here David Livingstone started his trip during which he found Lake Victoria. Kasane is also near the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers. The Victoria Falls are only 80km away. The nearby Kazungula ferry crosses the Zambezi River between Botswana and Zambia. Kasane offers a lot of accommodation options.
What to see and visit
Chobe National Park is a must-see. As there are no fences between the park and the village, elephants and other animals are often seen by the rivers and sometimes even in the town centre.
