Menongue

It is a town in south-east Angola. It was named, previously, after Alexandre Alberto da Rocha de Serpa Pinto, a19th-century Portuguese traveller who explored southern Africa. Situated on the Cuebe River at an elevation of 1,360 m, it is a military settlement and market centre for the region.
