It a capital of Humabo province. It is located in central ?west part of the country. It is the second biggest country of Angola (after Luanda) and has a population of about 200.000 people. Although some sources claim the number of inhabitants may even 5 times bigger.
History
The city is situated neat the Moco mountain (2610m above the sea level) and it was founded by the Portuguese colonialists in 1912, so it is quite young. For a few yers (1928 ? 1972) it was even called New-Lisbon. During the war against the colonialism the city was seriously damaged.
