It a city located in the northern part of the country, but it can be a nice prelude to the real Algerian south. Biskra is an oasis of more than 150 000 date palms producing first class dates.
It has a train connection with Constantine and Touggourt. You can also reach Algiers, Adrar, Ghardada and Tamanrasset by plane. Buses and taxis will take you to all possible destinations

What to see and what to visit
The city of Biskra is a fascinating place, although there is little architecture ? only a few modern buildings and roads. The market of Biskra is worth visiting, especially if you want to buy the greatest fresh fruit and vegetables ever.
Bathing in thermal baths is also a very popular tourist attraction.
