The town of Ar'ar is the regional headquarters of the northern border region.
Mazoto Kyio

It has a watering station and a power station. It engages in a wide range of agricultural activities including the production of dates, other fruit, and vegetables; and the managing of livestock (camels, goats and sheep). Ar'ar is the crossing point for many of the Iraqi pilgrims entering the Kingdom to perform Hajj.
