Nsuatre

A town with a population of about 29 000. This is a very agricultural area.
People in this region are Akans. They are mainly farmers and grow main cash crops such as cocoa, cassava and maize in addition to a variety of fruits.
The people of Nsuatre celebrate the Kwafie Festival between November and December. This event is celebrated in remembrance of the ancestors and it is also intended as purification. Among the numerous activities the most attractive is having a big bonfire in the yard.
