Tessenei 
Kaśka GlancTesseney is situated 45 kilometres from the border to Sudan. It has a population of about 18 000 people. There is market, which is bustling with life and is always full of traders and merchandisers from Eritrea and Sudan. In the city centre you can see a lot cafes, bars, shops.
This town was once full of the Sudanese refugees, but nowadays most of them have moved somewhere else.
Unfortunately Tesseney is another town that was badly damaged during the war. It is still being renovated. If you are to visit Tesseney you must remember that during the wet season most areas around the city are not accessible. The only road that guarantees transport throughout the year is the one to Barentu.
