Nacfa 
Kaśka GlancThis is a capital city of the Sahel province. It is situated about 150 km north of Keren. It is a very important place for the people of Eritrea, because it was a home to the EPLF throughout the war. The Ethiopian Air force bombed the entire town and destroyed most of the buildings. After the liberation of the country, the town has been totally rebuilt.
Nacfa is not that attractive itself but if you are interested in the painful history of Eritrea you will understand a lot of things while visiting. The visit to the town is like getting to know the spirit of this very brave and militant nation.
The trenches of Denden are to be seen. Most of the underground facilities like underground offices or a hospital are still available.
