Barentu 
Kaśka GlancBarentu is located in the dry infertile district of the Western Lowlands. There is only one main street and a lot of nomadic tribes reside in this area. Barentu is in the centre of Kunama territory. It is supposed that the Kunama were Eritrea's first residents.
A market in Barentu is very colourful and full of different things: food, ceramics, furniture. It is a place where people meet each other and chat. Besides it is the main attraction of the city.
