Mindelo is one of the biggest town in the archipelagos of Cape Verde. It is located on the island of Sao Vicente. It is a fishing port. It is said that this is the prettiest town in this country. There is a beautiful boulevard and buildings built by the Portuguese in the colonial times.
It is a cultural centre as well. Morna, which is type music born in Cape Verde is often heard in the restaurants. Cesaria Evora, who was born here performs morna all over the Word.
