This is one of the busiest town in Lesoto. It is located near the Van Rooyenshek border post.
The word mafetang means in English a place of the passers-by. In the early 80s of the 19th century a serious battle took place near this town. It was so called Gun War (war over tribal rights between Cape Colony forces and Basotho chiefs).
In Mafetang you can see a lot of things, i.e.: the Diphiring Mill, Bantu Stadium and above all the landscapes surrounding the town. But in general this is not a tourist place.
