Kibera
Kaśka GlancOne of the biggest slums in Africa. It is located in Nairobi. The name 'Kibera' is from the word kibra, a Nubian one, which means jungle. The slum was founded in 1920 as a Nubian soldiers' settlement. It is illegal and there is no government services such as electrical energy, water, sewage and garbage pickup. There is huge problem of unemployment and poverty.
