The biggest town in the area, Eldoret has all the amenities and is an excellent place to start your explorations of the Western Highlands. There is not much of interest here, aside from the exceptional fact that it is a Kenyan town established by Afrikaners. At first the town was identified as 64, because it was founded at the 64th mile post on the wagon route from Londiani.
